Mr. Alif Gultom is currently an Associate in the Trademark Team at Januar Jahja and Partners. He currently handles both contentious and non-contentious trademark matters, including trademark prosecution, clearance searches, oppositions, and responses to initial rejection, as well as contentious matters such as online takedowns, cease and desist letters, and negotiations.

He has several years of professional experience in legal research and analysis, especially in the areas of Intellectual Property and Technology Law. Prior to joining JJP, he gained experience working in an IP firm, handling numerous IP-related matters, including trademarks and copyrights. Additionally, he has authored several journal papers, articles, and books, as indicated below.

He obtained his Bachelor’s Degree from Universitas Islam Indonesia (International Program) and pursued advanced studies, earning an LL.M. in Intellectual Property and E-Law at University College Cork, Ireland, in 2023.

He loves spending time at the library with a good book and trying out new coffee spots. Life’s little pleasures: books and a cup of joe!
