Januar Jahja & Partners Ranked Again by Legal 500; Three JJP Attorneys “Recommended”

[:en]The Legal 500 has once again ranked Januar Jahja & Partners (JJP) as one of the leading intellectual property firms in Indonesia. Moreover, three JJP attorneys were “Recommended” by the Legal 500 Asia Pacific 2016 guide, which is regarded as the largest legal referral guide in the world.

Stating that JJP is “particularly noted for its litigation capabilities”, the Legal 500 (2016) guide placed JJP in the ‘Second Tier’ of firms, making it one of the top IP firms in Indonesia. The guide also highlighted JJP’s representation of Internet giant Tencent Holdings Limited and its win at the Indonesian Supreme Court related the famous QQ mark.

The 2016 guide also noted JJP’s representation of local celebrity brand DAMN! I Love Indonesia, which resulted in numerous online enforcement actions against counterfeit and infringing products.

Finally, the Legal 500 (2016) guide listed three JJP attorneys as recommended: managing partner Januar Jahja, senior associate Prudence Jahja, and newly hired associate Rianti Namora, who the guide described as a “trade mark specialist” at her previous firm.
