Apr 22, 2013

Januar Jahja & Partners will be attending two upcoming intellectual property (IP) conferences, with an eye towards solidifying ties with current clients and building new relationships with IP attorneys from around the world. As Indonesia continues to develop its IP system and welcome increased foreign investment and transnational business, it is more important than ever for Indonesian IP lawyers to interact with their foreign counterparts to share common experiences and best practices to ensure that IP rights continue to be strengthened in Indonesia.

From October 20-23, 2012, the International Association for the Protection of Intellectual Property (AIPPI) will hold its 43rd World Intellectual Property Congress in Seoul, South Korea. Headquartered in Switzerland, AIPPI has almost 9,000 members from more than 100 countries, and is recognized as the world’s leading international organization dedicated to the development and improvement of intellectual property, both nationally and internationally. A long-time member of AIPPI, as well as AIPPI-Indonesia, Januar Jahja & Partners (JJP) will be represented at this conference by associate Prudence Jahja and foreign legal consultant Andrew Diamond.

From October 27-31, 2012, the Asian Patent Attorneys Association (APAA) will hold its annual meeting in Chiang Mai, Thailand. Founded in 1969, APAA is a leading non-governmental organization (NGO) dedicated to promoting and enhancing the protection of intellectual property in Asia.
