
Januar Jahja & Partners (JJP) welcomes Ms. Rena Purnama Sari as the firm’s new Patent Team Leader, responsible for leading and overseeing all aspects of JJP’s thriving patent practice. With more than a decade of experience in patent prosecution and intellectual property management, Ms. Rena brings extensive knowledge and leadership to the team.

Before joining JJP, Ms. Rena spent 12 years at another established IP law firm in Indonesia, developing her expertise in patent filing, substantive examination, and portfolio management for both domestic and international clients.
Throughout her career, Ms. Rena has managed thousands of patent applications, guiding clients through the intricacies of the Indonesian patent system with precision and care. Her technical expertise spans a wide range of fields, including chemistry (her educational background), pharmaceuticals, electrical engineering, mechanics, and biology. She is also highly experienced in conducting patent searches, patentability assessments, and Freedom-to-Operate (FTO) analyses, as well as handling Plant Variety Protection (PVP) applications.
